They aim at introducing to foreign language didactic methodologies and at preparing less experienced teachers as well as exchanging ideas among experienced teachers.

The Teacher Training Programme EUROLTA may lead to the Certification of teachers of all Foreign Languages to Adults and of teachers of Greek as a Foreign / Second Language to Adults. Certificates are issued by the International Language Network ICC, These courses are attended by teachers from Greece and abroad, who mainly teach or want to teach Greek. The course is conducted in Greek and we use teaching materials useful in teaching and learning Greek and other foreign languages. Other less extended courses lead to a Certificate of Attendance.

They are offered as:

ONLINE TRAINING COURSES, based on live/synchronous meetings once a week with the trainers through Skype, and studying learning materials and exchanging views with the trainers and colleagues through the platform Forum. 

The online courses are offered based on e-learning principles and are designed in order for every participant to be able to make her / his own personal learning path.

BLENDED TRAINING COURSES. Participation in online AND face-to-face courses in a group of teachers who meet in Athens or Santorini either for one long weekend or 5-10 days.

HYBRID TRAINING COURSES, where some trainee teachers participate in a face-to-face course in Santorini or Athens and others participate through live online meeting.

There are teacher training programmes online and face to face. The different face-to-face teacher training programmes last from a long weekend (16 hours) to 10 days (60 hours). The different online teacher training programmes last from one month (15 hours) to 10 months (250 hours). The fees range is from 70 euro to 900 euro.

Teachers of Greek IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES except Greece may receive a grant from the European Union’s Erasmus Plus programme to cover all expenses (fees, accommodation, full boarding, and travel). They have to apply to their respective National Agencies through the organisation where they work. Please ask the Secretariat for more Information.

  2. You may pay directly and get registered to the teacher training. When there is not a confirmed date, ask the Secretariat to confirm your participation and we will send you details.

  • Free cancellation 90 days before the beginning of the teacher training course. 
  • In case of late cancellation participants can use half of their fees to register to any course of the Hellenic Culture Centre within one year time. 
  • Cancellation penalty: for late cancellation half of the fees for teacher training.
