Ifigenia Georgiadou studied Philosophy and Greek Language at the University of Athens, Faculty of Philosophy, and completed postgraduate studies in Education and Human Rights at the University of Athens and at University College, London.
Her research covered the professional development of teachers of Greek as a foreign language to adults. She was trained in the use of theatrical techniques in teaching and in adult education.
She worked as a scientific director and teacher trainer in summer schools and for NGOs. She has written books, textbooks, articles, conference papers, and book chapters.
Her research interests include teaching Greek, online education, educational needs and language teaching methodology. She coordinates research and educational programmes at national and European level and trains teacher trainers in language teaching and intercultural education.
